* As of Thursday, April 1, 2004, 12:01 am, you will not be able to send email without having Outgoing Authentication turned "on".
Microsoft Outlook & Microsoft Outlook Express
- Select "Tools" from the top drop-down menu.
- Scroll down to "Accounts", and select "Acounts"
- Select your email account from the list (if more than one, this process must be repeated for each account), and select "Properties"
- Select the "Servers" tab
- Check the box next to, "My server requires authentication."
- Click "Apply", then "OK"
And it is as easy as that.
