* As of Thursday, April 1, 2004, 12:01 am, you will not be able to send email without having Outgoing Authentication turned "on".

Microsoft Outlook & Microsoft Outlook Express

  1. Select "Tools" from the top drop-down menu.
  2. Scroll down to "Accounts", and select "Acounts"
  3. Select your email account from the list (if more than one, this process must be repeated for each account), and select "Properties"
  4. Select the "Servers" tab
  5. Check the box next to, "My server requires authentication."
  6. Click "Apply", then "OK"
